MASVINGO Business Expo -The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) has introduced kiosk platform to decongest transactions that have been taking long because of erratic internet service.

The Kiosk platform will ease payment of taxes as well as sending returns without need for mobile data, Paul Mahlahla said during a presentation at Masvingo Business Expo which is running at the Flamboyant Hotel between November 17 and 18 2022.

He said the kiosk is meant to decongest the organisation’s e-filing platform which he said is always overloaded and frustrating taxpayers.

He did not say when the kiosk platform became operational.

“We have introduced the ZIMRA kiosk which is a platform that allows taxpayers to make payments and send returns without need for mobile data or the internet. This is meant to decongest the e-services platform where returns were not being submitted timeously,” said Mahlahla.
