MBERENGWA- A Mberengwa man is in court after he allegedly assaulted his wife accusing her infidelity when he overheard her talking with another man on the phone.
Tinomutenda Mahembe (35) of Ziwewera complex was fined US$50 or 30 days in prison by Mberengwa Magistrate Charity Tonongera when he appeared in court last week.

Mahembe assaulted his wife Juliet Mushipe (29) on March 1, 2023 around 9 pm.
Prosecutor Ali Mutause told the court that Mahembe alleged that Mushipe was talking to her boyfriend the the previous day. Mushipe told him that she was preparing to go to South Africa and she was talking to the bus driver.

Mahembe suddenly became angry and hit her several times on the face with fists and open hands. Mushipe made a Police leading to the arrest of Mahembe.
