MASVINGO – Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) Governor, Dr John Mushayavanhu is expected in Masvingo tomorrow where he will unpack the 2024 monetary policy at a business breakfast meeting organised by the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC).
ZNCC Masvingo Chapter chairperson Andrew Chekani confirmed the development in an interview with The Mirror.
The meeting is being held in conjunction with Great Zimbabwe University (GZU).
The event which will take place at a local hotel will run from 8:30am to 11.55am.
Panellists include ZNCC Chief Executive Officer Christopher Mugaga, Chekani, Prof Talknice Saungweme from GZU Department of Economics and Finance and Eben Hardware Director and WEDO Masvingo Ambassador Benonia Machavuda.
“ZNCC’s key mandate is to enhance business development in Zimbabwe and it achieves this through the creation of sustainable synergies and mutually beneficial partnerships of key stakeholders. Information is key to business and ZNCC ensures that information is availed at the right time from the right personnel.
“The event will be attended by representative of academic institutions, banking sector, real estate, hoteliers, SMEs, Government departments, local authorities and the media,” he said.
Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Ezra Chadzamira will also attend the event.
