GOKWE – Police has launched a manhunt for two NetOne employees who disappeared from their work station in Gokwe after allegedly defrauding the company of US$94 793.
Midlands Police Spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko said Codesser Moyo (35) of Dzivarasekwa in Harare and Fungai Daka (37) of Warren Park D, Harare have been missing since November 18, 2023.
Moyo (35) was a customer care representative while Daka (37) was a supervisor at Gokwe town NetOne Shop. They disappeared during a financial reconciliation done by NetOne Commercial Manager and Loss Control Officer from Harare.
Circumstances are that the duo allegedly defrauded their employer of US$94 793 between October 13, 2023, – November 18, 2023.
A reconciliation team was sent to the branch and noticed a discrepancy. The duo allegedly disappeared during the reconciliation and is still missing.
“We are appealing to members of the public who might have information on the whereabouts of the suspects to approach any police station, or call Detective Assistant Inspector Kamangira on 0772881353 or CID Gokwe on Landline 055259 2687,” said Mahoko.
