CHIREDZI – Funeral assurance company, Monlight were crowned the best overall exhibitor and top in the Funeral Assurance category in the just ended Lowveld Agriculture Show held at Chiredzi Show grounds from Thursday to Saturday last week.

Moonlight Public Relations Officer Noway Mseba said the company was excited with the accolade and she dedicated it to Moonlight clients in the Lowveld.

Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) emerged second overall winner together with Cotton Company of Zimbabwe (COTCO) while the Parliament of Zimbabwe went on fourth position.

Lowveld Show Society chairman Graham Murindagomo said competition was tough this year since more exhibitors came on board compared to last year.

“We are excited and we dedicate this accolade to our Lowveld stakeholders. We thank them and we believe we are the moonlight that they want,” said Mseba.

Mseba said her organisation has been exhibiting a Lowveld Show Society for the past five year and the secret for the results is teamwork.

“The secret is that we work as a team at Moonlight that is why we are producing good results,” said Mseba.

The Show ran under the theme Reshaping Lowveld Agro Industries and it was officially opened by Monolight Funeral Assurance and Services Chief Executive Officer(CEO), Chomi Makina. He commented the increase in the number of exhibitors and said business people are getting to understand the importance of the shows.

“Organisations are slowly realising that shows and trade fairs are an opportunity to market business,” said Makina.

Safeways Driving School topped the Small to Medium Enterprise (SMEs) category and Zimbabwe Sugar Association Experiment Stations was the best in the Agro Industry category.
