Zvishavane commissions fire tender, 4 service vehicles

ZVISHAVANE – The Minister of State for Midlands, Owen Ncube last Monday commissioned a fire-tender and four service vehicles procured by Zvishavane Town Council.
“This is a clear indication of the commitment of the Second Republic to improving the welfare and well-being of residents. Government this year has increased Devolution funds to promote and accelerate development in communities,” said Ncube.
Devolution has seen Zvishavane town council embarking on developmental programes such as the Mandava urban renewal, rehabilitation of Mabhula sewer treatment plant and Eastlea piped water scheme.
Zvishavane Acting Town Secretary, Allan Chaparadza hailed the Devolution program and attributed a lot of the local authority’s success stories to it.
“We are grateful that government has given us the equipment. Before the handing over of this equipment we had several challenges but now I can assure you things are much better,” said Chaparadza.
Tanatswa Wada, a resident also hailed the procurement of a fire tender.
