MASVINGO – Students from the Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU)have donated ZWL$ 9,5 million worth of groceries to Alpha Cottage Children’s Home.
The groceries donated by ZOU’s Student Representative Council (SRC) Masvingo were handed over to Alpha Cottage Caretaker Superintendent Chishamiso Mhizha Foroma on Tuesday this week.
ZOU student Advisor Fortunate Sengayi confirmed the donation.
“The SRC donated the groceries as part of our Social Corporate Responsibility (CSR). We want to create long relations with Alpha Cottage and we want to make this an annual event.
“We appreciate the support we got from the school management in this endeavor and we want to thank our Regional Director Professor Paul Mupa,” said Sengayi.
Mhizha Foroma applauded ZOU for the donations.
“The board of Trustees, Management Committee, Children and Staff wish to convey and express sincere gratitude for your love.
We feel extremely proud and blessed to be associated with generous institutions like ZOU. We thank you and we wish you success in all your endeavors,” she said.
