CHIKOMBA—The Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA) has drilled four boreholes in the town of Chivhu to cover areas that either have water challenges or are not connected to piped water.
The programme is under the Presidential Rural Water Scheme.
Two boreholes were drilled in Ward 10 last week in Riverside and Skyview extension. The other two are in Ward 11 near Anglican Church and another at Garwe Stadium.
Residents in these areas relied on wells for water.
Ward 10 councillor Tafadzwa Mukandi expressed gratitude to the Presidential scheme.
Pedzisai Muhenyeri Ward 11 councillor said the project will ensure hygiene for the residents.
