Zim inventor looks for capital to do industrial production

MASVINGO – Samuel Panashe Chiwara Gondongwe (19), a young Masvingo scientist is looking for assistance to make industrial production of an automated liquid dispenser that he has invented.

The liquid dispenser is used to wash hands especially in this time of Covid-19.

Apart from the liquid dispenser, Gondongwe told The Mirror that he has also invented a remote control to open and close gates, curtains, windows and also switching on and off of electric bulbs and fans.

He said he has already installed an automated water dispenser for Byword Motors, a leading construction and car sales company.

Gondongwe recently completed his A Levels and he is waiting to go to university.

He invented his remote control for closing curtains, switching off bulbs and opening and closing gates in 2017 when he was doing form 4 at Lower Gweru Adventist High School.

He says he invented a Wi-Fi dongle in 2019 when he was doing Form 6 as part of his co-curriculum activities science exhibition under the STEM.

He entered many competitions including the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) grand challenge sponsored by NetOne.

When he started his projects he was financially sponsored by Stanley Kondongwe the managing director of Jadecon and Evelyn Chikwezvero HR of Zimbabwe Electricity. https://masvingomirror.com
