MASVINGO- The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) has donated seven wheelchairs to the Ministry of Health and Childcare in Masvingo Province.

ZETDC Masvingo manager Jacqueline Hlatshwayo handed over the wheelchairs to Provincial Medical Director (PMD) Dr Amadeus Shamu at Benjamin Burombo building on Wednesday.

Provincial Director of Economic Affairs and Investments Clever Chingwara represented Minister of State Ezra Chadzamira.

Chadzamira said ZETDC has demonstrated its commitment to improving livelihoods by making the donation.

“By providing wheelchairs to the Ministry of Health and Childcare, ZETDC has demonstrated its commitment to reaching beyond its core responsibilities to make a positive impact on fellow citizens,” said Chingwara.

Shamu applauded ZETDC for setting an example to other companies and Government departments.

He said the wheelchairs will be distributed to hospitals and clinics that do not have wheelchairs.

“I want to thank the ZETDC for donating these wheelchairs to us, you have set an example to other organizations and I therefore call other companies to come do the same,” he said.
