Zaka RDC ZWL$4,4 billion budget yet to be approved

ZAKA – The Minister of Local Government and Public works July Moyo is yet to approve the proposed Zaka annual budget for 2023.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) David Majaura confirmed to the Mirror that the Minister is yet to approve their annual budget for this year.
The projects for the proposed budget include construction of two staff houses at Gumbire Primary School, completion and opening of 4miles and Chinyazviri clinics, purchase of a tipper, road grading of 300km and borehole drilling and water systems around communities where borehole yields are high.
This year’s budget has increased from the 2022 budget which was around ZWL$918,346,965.
“We would like to thank the Government and our ratepayers who supported us by paying their bills. We further encourage those who have queries to approach us for clarifications so that we contribute to the development of Zaka District.
“The mantra “Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo” by his Excellence the President of Zimbabwe means we all need to contribute as we build our nation Zimbabwe, and face our challenges head on,” said Majaura.
In 2022 they managed to construct a 64 bay shed at Jerera market stall, road grading of 114km as well as building Benzi and Tovane clinics. They also managed to complete 2 staff houses for four miles, complete 3 staff houses for Chinyazvivi and complete two classrooms at Gumbire Primary School.
