Why current Zesa load shedding is not as dire

Mirror Reporter

Harare – Around 2017 and 2016 Zimbabwe went into load shedding bringing severe disruptions to household, commerce and industry operations as entities went up to 15 hours without power a day.

The current load shedding has however, left consumers with breathing space and the load shedding timetables are being adhered to.

ZESA marketing manager Prosper Mutswiri explained how the power utility has managed this.

“We have not seen a lot of disruptions and this is largely due to the clear strategic response as strategized by management on the generation side, import side and the public campaigns on how we can save power,” said Mutswiri.
