Village heads in illegal sale of stands at Neshuro

MWENEZI – Mwenezi Rural District Council (RDC) chairperson Jorum Ncube has raised alarm bells following increasing illegal settlements mushrooming around Neshuro Growth Point in Mwenezi.

The problem is acute in Chirimigwa Village, an area earmarked for the expansion of the growth point.

Two Nations gathered that the area has long been gazetted for urban land use by Government. The place is just a kilometer from Neshuro District Hospital and stretches to Matande turn off.

Ncube expressed his concern over the issues during a full council meeting at Neshuro Council Boardroom last week. The meeting was also attended by District Development Coordinator Rosemary Chingwe.

“I have noticed some illegal sales of land in Chief Neshuro’s area in Chirimigwa Village. Am not sure whether the Chief is aware of this but corrective measure must be taken as a matter of urgency,” said Ncube.
Efforts to get a comment from Chief Neshuro were futile.
