Vic High students mark 30 years after school with donation
MASVINGO – Victoria High students who left the school between 1985 and 1990 have celebrated their 30 years post the once A1 school with a donation of paint.
The donation event on Monday was attended by all current students and staff and representatives of the 1985 to 1990 classes.
The former students’ representative Eunice Masunda told The Mirror that they decided to celebrate 30 years after leaving Vic High in style. They donated 45x20l of paint, tinters, thinners, mutton clothes, sand paper, roller brushes, paint trays, paint brushes, paint scrapper as well as pretty towel.
“We were supposed to meet on September 19, 2020 at the school but we failed because of Covid-19 regulations. We donated to mobilize other streams to follow our footsteps.
“Former students should always be there to support development at their former schools,” said Masunda.
Victoria High head Engelbert Chimbwari confirmed the donation to The Mirror.
“We received the donation and I’m really grateful. What makes me more excited is we share the same vision,” said Chimbwari. https://masvingomirror.com
