Unki donates to Shurugwi District Hospital

Shurugwi – Platinum giant Unki Mine has donated an incinerator, a borehole, groceries and personal protective equipment to Shurugwi District Hospital.

The donation was made a week ago.

The donation is to help in the fight against the spread of the deadly Covid-19 virus and most of the assistance is targeted at the front line workers.

Guest of honour at the event, Robson Nyathi said it was important for stakeholders to join hands with Government in the fight against Covid-19.

“We are grateful for the donation which will boost morale among the front line workers. I also need to praise Unki for donating groceries to the vulnerable families in the communities,” said Nyathi.

Anthony Chadhliwa who represented Unki said his company will continue to support programmes aimed at fighting Covid-19.

Meanwhile the Shurugwi business community has mobilized resources for the construction of an isolation and treatment centre at the District hospital. https://masvingomirror.com
