“Our target is to get into the Premier Soccer League (PSL) and our chances are good because the league is still young. Buffaloes is a big team and the win is our statement of intent. We are going to end Mazodze’s winning streak on Sunday,” he said.
The club is fourth on the log with 18 points from 10 games (five wins, three draws and two defeats).
FC Wangu Mazodze coach John Nyikadzino said his charges are ready for the derby. He said they will prove their worth in the ground.
“We are ready. Football is not resolved in the Press or streets and we will prove it on Sunday. It’s okay if Una Una wants to stop us because I also want to win against Barcelona,” he said.
FC hunters is second with 21 points (six wins, three draws and a defeat). Buffaloes is third with 20 points from nine fixtures (six wins, two draws and a defeat).
Meanwhile PSL relegated side Triangle FC is finding the going tough with 14 points from nine fixtures. The sugar boys have won four, drawn two and lost three fixtures.
