Masvingo –UK based Zanu PF Youth League member, Kudzai Makuku has donated $20 000 RTGS to a Mucheke A woman in Masvingo who was diagnosed with breast cancer and is unable to breast feed her newly born triplets.
Netsai Manjeese gave birth to triplets on June 30 this year and she has been feeding them with warm water and maheu as she could not afford the recommended baby formula because it is expensive. Manjeese and her husband are not employed and they stay in one room and have other children to look after.
“I was touched by this woman’s story when I read it in The Mirror and I felt I should also assist in these difficult times of Covid-19 lockdown. It is also my small way of giving back to the community where I come from. It takes the community to raise a child so these are our children as well so to speak,” said Makuku who hails from Chatsworth where he is known for his philanthropism.
Manjeese thanked Makuku for the timely gesture and promised to properly look after the triplets using proceeds from well-wishers. https://masvingomirror.com
