GWERU-National Taekwondo athlete Admire ‘Dille’ Tshitshiliza (30) eyes another gold medal at a regional tournament set for the University of Botswana on October 9, 2023.
The Third Dan black belt holder is set to fight Mfamanawekhaya Dube from Eswatini and Fredrico Muianga from Mozambique.
Dille, who has just recovered from a two-month-long knee injury, told The Mirror that he hopes to achieve his goal through knockouts.
“I am confident that I will get a gold medal at the next competition because of my vast experience. I began taekwondo at 13 when I joined the junior team. I got promoted to the senior team at 17. I have obtained vast skills and experience over the years. I am the toughest opponent despite limited training time due to injury,” he said.
Dille’s trophy cabin boasts several gold medals from Malawi (2011), a bronze from the COSATA games in South Africa (2012) and gold in Mozambique (2017).
He is also the first assistant Midlands provincial instructor under chief provincial instructor Bhekumuzi Buthelezi.
