CHIREDZI – As if cleansing itself from a 2:1 drubbing by Manica Diamonds a week ago, purposeful Triangle Football Club (FC) fought like a bruised lion and humiliated Whawha FC by clubbing it 4:1 at home on Sunday.
This saw the Lowveld team collecting 3 points in a Castle Lager Premier League match played at Gibbo Stadium.
Triangle FC gaffer, Jairos Tapera was all smiles after the majestic 90 minutes and praised his boys for the flawless display.
“I am very happy with the boys, we had the potential of increasing the scores even to six, I am happy with what my boys showcased,” said Tapera.
Triangle Veteran striker, Donald Ngoma was the first to score before Gerald Bhero and Tinashe Kabanda also sent the ball into the nets leaving the visiting prisoners in the relegation zone.
The visitors’ consolation goal came from halftime substitute Albert Matewu who took advantage of Triangle’s sleeping defenders and headed into the back of the net.
Hwahwa head coach Luke Jukulile said his players failed to read the game well.
“We tried our level best to match them for sixty minutes, we then lost the plot in the dying minutes. We lacked maturity in reading the game. We could have forced a draw,” he said.https://masvingomirror.com
