SHURUGWI- Tongogara Rural District (TRC) Ward 22 Zanu PF Councillor and former chairperson Golden Kapeta has died. He was 54.
He succumbed to acids at Railway Block Private Hospital in Shurugwi on Sunday. He had gone to the hospital for a routine check-up.
His daughter Memory confirmed the death to The Mirror. She said Kapeta was buried today at his plot in Green House, Chikwingwizha.
Kapeta served as TRDC Chairperson from 2018-2023.
His last-born son, Golden Kapeta Junior, described him as a loving and caring father.
Kapeta is survived by his wife and four children, three boys and a girl.
