MASVINGO – A top Masvingo model, Marvelous Ganje could lose an opportunity of a lifetime to contest at the Miss Environment Zimbabwe slated for Bulawayo from December 15 – 19, 2022 if she does not get support and funds to attend the pageant.
If Ganje wins at the Bulawayo pageant, she automatically qualifies to participate at the Miss Environment International whose full sponsorship is guaranteed. The Miss Environment International was held in India last year and the venue for the next competitions is yet to be announced.
Ganje who is managed by former beauty pageant serial winner Sherryfar Nyashanu however, does not have that kind of money and is appealing to well-wishers and the business community to support her dream of a lifetime.
Ganje’s prospects are high; she won Miss Poly in 2018, Miss Tertiary Masvingo in 2020, Miss Winter Zimbabwe, Miss Bodylicious, Miss Supernatural Queen, Miss 24 Carat and was the first princess at the Miss Lake October festival. She was second Princess Miss Ruby Zimbabwe and second Princess Miss Masvingo this year.
Ganje requires at least US$500 to buy special apparel for the Miss Environment pageant which has to represent the Masvingo Culture. The money will also cover camping fees and transport costs.
Ganje will be the only one to represent Masvingo after three others from the province pulled out for lack of financial resources.
Nyashanu said Ganje is not going into the pageant just for herself but to lift Masvingo Province’s flag high.
Companies and well-wishers that are willing to sponsor and support the cause can contact Ganje or Nyashanu on 0712 257 1594 and 077 309 9004 respectively or make donations on her CBZ Bank Masvingo Branch Account number 02523872070019 for ZWL $ or her nostro account 0252387207009.
The Mirror will support by advertising the names of the sponsoring companies.
