Three vehicles collide in Gweru CBD

GWERU – Three vehicles have been involved in an accident at a robot intersection between Lobengula and 8th street in Gweru Central Business District (CBD). Two people are reportedly injured.
The accident occurred around 5 pm.
Efforts to get a comment from Midlands Police Spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko were futile by the time of going to Press as his mobile was unreachable.
Police details are controlling traffic at the scene to avoid congestion.
Gweru Council Mayor Councillor Martin Chivhoko blamed motorists of negligence driving.
“Traffic lights are now operational. We blame the drivers for negligent driving,” he said.
