MUTARE – Tenax FC coach Shadreck ‘Father’ Mugurasave is bubbling with confidence after beating one of the Premier League’s powerful teams Chicken Inn 1 – 0 in Castle League Game at Vhengere Stadium in Rusape on Sunday.
He told Chipinge Times that he looks forward to beat Bulawayo City in Saturday’s game to be played at Luveve Stadium.
Chauya Chikara as Tenax is referred to by its supporters went for three games without picking up a single point. The team finally remembered how to win when it dismissed the Bulawayo -based side.
Panashe Mutasa, son to Dynamos legend Lloyd Mutasa was the hero of the day when he scored the only goal that helped the prison boys beat Joey Antipas’ fancied Chicken Inn.
Mutasa finished off a header from Malvin Dumbura 32 minutes into the game.

Mutasa’s goal brought huge relief to Mugurasave whose side last tasted league victory in May against Craneborne Bullets FC.
“I was a bit happy after three consecutive defeats. I will celebrate more after I survive the chop. In our last three outings, we were beaten 1-0 by Manica Diamonds, we lost 2-0 to Platinum FC and 2-0 to Hwahwa FC. This win has brought us relief. It was a good game and good motivation to my boys as we face Bulawayo City FC this coming Saturday,” said Mugurasave.
The veteran gaffer however, predicts a tough encounter as his charges travel all the way to Bulawayo to face struggling Bulawayo City. Mugurasave said it will be a tough encounter since both teams are fighting relegation.
“We expect a tough encounter against Bulawayo City. It’s a tricky encounter since both teams are fighting relegation. We hope to collect maximum points” said the former Buffaloes FC mentor.

Mutasa said he was thrilled to have helped his team to gain three crucial points.
“I am very happy for scoring such a crucial goal that decided the match. It was worth celebrating especially coming from defeats. We hope to do well in our upcoming encounter,” he said.
Tenax has played 20 games and are on position 14 with 20 points from 5 wins, 5 draws and 10 defeats. Bulawayo City on the other side it’s on number 17 on the log with a total of 16 points from 4 wins, 6 draws and 10 losses.
FC Platinum are on top of the log with a total of 43 points from 20 games.https://masvingomirror.com
