Sylvia Choruwa wins Businesswoman of the Year


MASVINGO – Sylvia Charuwa who runs Isheanopa Investments, a diversified company which is into clothing, furniture and hardware is Masvingo’s Businesswoman of the year.

Charuwas was selected for her business leadership and transforming a small business into a force to reckon with in Masvingo as it has diversified into furniture, clothing and hardware.

Upmarket Urban Lifestyle Lodge owner Tariro Mazorodze is the second Best Businesswoman of the Year while Natasha Grief of Happy Kids is the second runner-up.

Another woman who walked away with a coveted prize at the Megafest is Rudo Munemo of Lulu Events who was named Entrepreneur of the Year together with Jasper Simango of Great Zimbabwe Hotel.

The female executive category saw Lindiwe Gutura of Getbucks Microfinance Bank walking away with the prize and her first and second runner-ups respectively are Thandiwe Dube finance director at Masvingo City Council and ZimTile branch manager Vimbai Kuyerukana.

Abigail Rukwava of Abby’s Classique Cakes was the second runner-up in the Award of Excellence.

The awards ceremony was also attended by Assistant Commissioner Felicitus Musvipe and Benjamin Mazarire as guest of honour.
