SILOBELA – A Silobela man is battling for his life after being assaulted by his mates following a misunderstanding over snooker tokens.The incident happened at Zvibomvu Business Centre, Silobela on Thursday night. Zenzo Moyo (24) was allegedly attacked by Moses Mlauzi (27) of Gwetu Village, Chief Malisa, Silobela and Mthandazo Chaka.Midlands Police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the case and told The Mirror that it is being treated as attempted murder. He said that Moyo was attacked with an axe and a knife.He said that Moyo of Mathe Shop, Zvibomvu Business Centre was playing snooker inside Svingo Bar at the same business centre with the two suspects.They had a misunderstanding over snooker tokens which prompted the suspects to leave Moyo in the bar and go away into the darkness. They then ambushed and attacked him as he went home. Chaka was armed with an axe and Mlauzi had a knife. The duo allegedly fled the scene after committing the offence leaving Moyo lying in a pool of blood. The police have launched a manhunt for Chaka who is yet to be found.
