MASVINGO – Masvingo Acting Provincial Director Shylatte Mhike has been promoted by the Public Service Commission to a substantive Deputy Provincial Director of Education.

The promotion was with effect from November 2021.
Mhike had up to then been just a Deputy Director. She however, still remains the acting Provincial Director for Masvingo since Zedius Chitiga retired on March 7, 2021.

Mhike confirmed the development to The Mirror.
“It is true that I was promoted to Deputy Provincial Education Director. I got the appointment letter from my employer in December last year” said Mhike.

She told The Mirror that Provincial Education Director position has been upgraded to Chief Director which for Masvingo is still vacant.
