SHURUGWI-A Shurugwi woman Melody Nyandani (29) was arrested last week for scalding her husband Blessing Kamwendo(33) with boiling water over an undisclosed argument.

Midlands Provincial Police Spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the incident and said the case is now before the court.

Charles Kamwendo, brother to Blessing, told The Mirror that Blessing confronted his wife about why she had brought a room divider, kitchen unit, speakers and an amplifier from their rural home in Gutsaruzhinji to their house in Impali.
She told him that she wanted them there.
He also said that Blessing noticed that the speakers were missing two days later, and Nyandani told him that she had taken them back to the village.
Blessing went to the bar, and upon returning home, Nyandani allegedly snatched his car keys, and the two began arguing. Kamwendo then called a female neighbour Primrose Josi to intermediate.
Nyandani came out of the house holding a bucket filled with hot water and scalded her husband, who was talking with Josi.
Blessing was rushed to Makarima Hospital. Nyandani was arrested by Police on Saturday.
