Shurugwi – The Shurugwi business community has refused to sit for budget consultations until the town secretary, Solomon Siziba attends their meeting.

The meeting that was scheduled for Tuesday at council town house this week had to be cancelled after business community representatives numbering about 20 insisted that the issues that they wanted addressed could not be answered by junior staffers.

“We need to talk to the town secretary. We cannot sit here and discuss matters with junior managers who will not be able to answer our questions,” said leading Shurugwi businessman Nicholas Gara when he moved for the meeting to be cancelled.

Siziba was however, out of town on the day and the meeting was then rescheduled to today (Thursday).
The council delegation at the meeting was led by the Finance Director Charles Taonezvi who declined to comment on the matter. https://masvingomirror.com
