Sheasham FC remains firm to win Central region

MIDLANDS – ZIFA Central Region Division 1 Log leaders Sheasham retained their five-point lead at the top of the log with an emphatic 3-0 victory against FC Platinum U19 at Gresham Grounds in Zvishavane on Saturday.

The Construction boys got their goals from Physiwell Madhazi in the first half and two in the second half through Nigel Mpinduki and Proper Andrea.
The win means the Gweru-based side’s hopes of gaining promotion into top flight football is still intact with seven matches to play.

Second placed TelOne showed great character coming from behind to score twice and overcome army side Tongogara at Ascot Stadium in Gweru.

The result means there is no change at the top of the log, as Sheasham leads the pack with 45 points, while TelOne is on 40 points.

Gwanda-based gold miners Vumbachikwe produced what their coach Gatsi Mukombwe termed ‘our best performance’ as they clobbered Bishopstone 3-0.

Vumbachikwe are now back in third position with 35 points and Mukombwe still believes they can catch up on the log leaders.
“The boys played well, it was one of our best games this season. The result means we are still in there with a shout, there is TelOne and Sheasham but we will fight to the end,” he said.https://masvingomirror.com/
