Sheasham appoints new CEO

GWERU – Sheasham Football Club (FC) has appointed Zimbabwe Women Soccer Premier League disciplinary committee secretary, Sibongubukhosi Zikhali as the club’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Club chairperson Crispen Ngwenya confirmed the development to The Mirror. He said outgoing CEO Wounder Chaka has been appointed club’s football director.
Veteran coach Gibson Mutemera has been put in charge of the women’s team which plays in the Zimbabwe Women Soccer Premier League.
Ngwenya said the appointments were made necessary by the need to meet FIFA standards, team’s growth and recent adoption of Chipembere Queens.
“I am pleased to announce that the team has made secretariat changes. These were necessitated by the team’s growth.

“Veteran footballer Wounder Chaka will work with all the coaches of our various teams as our full time football director. We have women and men soccer teams and these need an experienced footballer. These teams need direct support in terms of strategies and advice from him,” he said.
Zikhali was the club’s administrator prior to her elevation.
She said that her post as a CEO is challenging and she will take it with a positive mind.
“My post is a bit challenging but I will take it with a positive mind, seeking advice from Chaka,” she said.
She added she intends to support the girl child to earn a living through sport.
Chaka said the Club’s vision is to get back into the Premier Soccer League and it is working hard to achieve this feat.
“I’ m quite optimistic that the team will get back into the PSL. We will make sure that happens. My task is very simple because I have held similar roles at Rio Tinto and ZimAlloys,” he said.
