SDA’s ASA Masvingo Chapter donates to Alpha Cottages

MASVINGO-Adventist Servicemen Association (ASA) an arm of the Seventh Day Adventist Church Central Zimbabwe Union has donated bags of maize, wheat, beans, sugar and cash to Alpha Cottages Children’s Home.

The donation was made on Monday at the home in Eastvale by members of ASA led by Dr Jolson Zimuto. The 20x50kg bags of maize, 2x50kg bags of wheat, 2x50kg bags of beans and sugar were handed over to Masvingo Association of Residential Care
Facilities Trust chairman, Zendakwaye Zendakwaye standing on behalf of the home.

Dr Zimuto said as part ministering the word of God, they found it fit to put together the little that they have and give to the less privileged of society. Zendakwaye paid tribute to ASA for remembering the home and pleaded with them to continue the good work and also spread their assistance to other homes in the City.

SDA Zimbabwe Central Union is led by its president, businessman Sternly Kondongwe and has many chapters that are involved in charity work.

Ephraim Museva, Clemence Rubaya and Kudzai Dakwa also attended the handover ceremony where the children expressed joy for the donation which will go a long way in augmenting their food reserves.

Alpha Cottages Children’s Home which was established in 1954 and has 22 boys and five girls is led by Pastor Brighton Karidza. https://masvingomirror.com
