INSIZA- A school head at Amazon Christian Academy in Insiza, is in the intensive care after being assaulted by his deputy.
Progress Ncube was assaulted together with his wife and several other teachers by the deputy head only identified as Siziba who is at large. Siziba is also understood to be doubling as the pastor at the school.
Mat South Provincial Education Director (PED) Beatrice Manjere confirmed the incident but referred Two Nations to the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education spokesperson Taungana Ndoro.
Two Nations is informed that Ncube sustained head injuries and he is admitted at a hospital in Bulawayo that Two Nations will not mention for ethical reasons. The wife is understood to have suffered a broken arm.
Other teachers were also injured.
Two Nations could not establish the reasons for the attack.
“Can you contact the Director of Communications Mr Ndoro, I have given him the details of the story,” said Manjere.
Ndoro said the matter is being dealt with by the Police.
