ZVISHAVANE – Runde Rural District council (RDC)’s $831,5 million budget for 2022 has been approved by the Minister of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing July Moyo, The Mirror has been told.The budget has increased from $370,5 million last year and the local authority expects to receive $140,201 million for devolution.Runde RDC acting Executive Officer Finance Auxilia Makusha said that the local authority is happy with the early approval of the budget and the local authority is raring to go with development projects in the area.
“We are grateful to the Minister for approving our budget which means we can hit the ground running. We have quite a number of projects on devolution,” she said.
The devolution budget will be used to build classroom blocks at Mukwidzi, Mwezhe and Musipani schools; teachers house at Mapazuli and clinics at Oreti and Fizhu. Also planned are eight boreholes in Ward 8 and Ward 10 and installation of water pipes at Sinami and Vugwi. https://masvingomirror.com
