Rambanapasi elected TRDC council chairman

SHURUGWI – Wilbert Rambanapasi is the new Tongogara Rural District Council (RDC) chairperson.
He replaces the late Golden Kapeta. Rambanapasi is the director of Rams Security Company and vice chairperson of the Zimbabwe Women’s Soccer League.
He beat Tatenda Ruzive also of Zanu PF by 22 to nine votes.
He was first elected councillor for Ward 12 Shurugwi North in 2018 and this is his second time to be elected.
He says his particular focus is on roads and development.
He was born and bred in Shurugwi in a family of five. He went to Zvamaunje Primary School and proceeded to Juchuta Secondary in the same area. He attained an Executive Diploma in Sport and Management with the Zimbabwe Institute of Management.
Rambanapasi is married to Beverly Namate Rambanapasi. They have five children.
