Otilia Moyo snaps Miss Zuri People’s Choice

MASVINGO – The reigning Miss Heroes Zimbabwe, Otilia Annelie Moyo (26) who is at the Magistrates Court in Masvingo was crowned Zuri Africa-Zimbabwe People’s Choice at Solomon’s café in Harare last Saturday.

Riding on the Venda culture, she garnered 3 303 votes from a tightly-contested online pageant running between October 17, 2022 and November 18, 2022.

Moyo is also Miss Charity Ambassador 2nd runner up 2020.

She told The Mirror that she had been optimistic of winning the pageant and she appreciated everyone who believed in her and cast votes.

“It feels great to win. This Pageant showed me how people support one another. I won Miss Zuri Africa People’s choice and I would like to thank people for voting and supporting me.

“Miss Zuri is a cultural pageant which seeks to promote all cultures we have in Zimbabwe. I decided to represent the Venda Culture which is also my culture,” said Moyo.

The winners also speak Venda and sign language.

She is an actress, psychologist, and philanthropist. She featured on movies as The Mar by Bridget Paradza and Estate blues.

She also runs a Trust called The Migraine and Depression Trust which helps people with mental health problems. 

The Mirror understands Moyo doubles as a Pre Trial Diversion officer and community service officer at Masvingo Magistrates Court. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Certificate in Introduction to Criminal Investigations and Processes and Thinking.
