MASVINGO – Nyaradzo Group, the country’s largest funeral assurance company has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to frontline workers in the media as part of its 20th anniversary celebrations.

In Masvingo, Nyaradzo donated to journalists at The Mirror and Hevoi Radio Station.

Its branch manager Fortune Mawoyo said the group would have loved to celebrate its anniversary in style but it took into cognisance the Covid pandemic which is ravaging the Globe. Instead, the group opted to scale up the fight against Covid-19 and is supporting frontline workers.

At The Mirror, Mawoyo handed over the PPEs to the general manager and chief editor, Nkulumani Mlambo.

“As part of our 20th anniversary celebrations, we are scaling up our fight against the Covid pandemic by giving PPEs to frontline workers in the media who play a pivotal role in the dissemination of information on the virus.

“Our services as Nyaradzo are also frontline so we know how important it is to protect workers against the contagious disease.

“We chose to partner The Mirror in our celebrations because ndimwi masahwira acho. As an essential service we salute your contribution in spreading information on the need to sanitise, to maintain social distance and to mask up.

“Our message is let’s spread the message not the disease and to that effect we have put in place measures that enable us to do business with our valued clients virtually like toll free numbers, Sahwi chatbot, self-service portal and easy payment methods using mobile phones or in supermarkets,” said Mawoyo.

Mawoyo was accompanied by Morgan Chinyamupemberi the branch supervisor and Simbarashe Mberi client service inspector during the handover.

Mlambo thanked Nyaradzo for its consistent support to the media. He said the PPEs will go a long way in helping journalists carry out their duties in a safer environment and thereby arrest the spread of the virus.

“We congratulate you on your 20th anniversary and we appreciate the great service you have rendered this nation for the last two decades. The Mirror is proud to stand side by side with you and to be associated with a brand like Nyaradzo as we serve our people,” said Mlambo.

Nyaradzo Group has seven companies, Eureka Insurance Brokers, Nyaradzo Life Assurance, Nyaradzo Asset Management, Friends of the Environment, Sahwira Events and Lifestyle and Calundika Exports. https://masvingomirror.com
