Masvingo – The National Social Security Authority (NSSA) has engaged lawyers to find ways of expanding its board of directors so that two pensioners can be added on.
This will, according to the Minister of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Paul Mavima ensure that the real NSSA stakeholders have a voice at the highest level.
“Pensioners are the backbone of NSSA and we have asked our lawyers to find a way of adding pensioners’ representatives on the board. The representatives would be drawn one from the Southern Region and another from the Northern Region and this will happen through the pensioners forum.
“A shortlist of pensioners from the two regions has been submitted and vetting processes has already begun,” said Mavima.
Mavima and NSSA general manager Arthur Manase are touring NSSA structures across the country engaging pensioners’ forums which seeks to negotiate better pensions, spearhead investment opportunities and establish a direct communication line between pensioners and NSSA. https://masvingomirror.com
