Ndarama bursar appears for rape hearing

MASVINGO – The rape case in which Ndarama High bursar Henry Chivhanga is accused of forcing himself on a student at the school will proceed by way of summons, Magistrate Patience Madondo has said.

Masvingo Magistrate, Patience Madondo told the court today that the case will proceed by way of summons because Magistrate Bishard Chineka who is presiding over the matter is away attending a workshop.

Chivhanga is represented by Martin Mureri of Matutu Mureri Legal Practitioners.

The State led by Nixon Chamisa is alleging that Chivhanga raped a student in his office after he asked her to come and bid farewell to him at his office. The girl had finished writing her ZIMSEC O’ Level exams.
