MASVINGO-The National Blood Service Zimbabwe (NBSZ) Public Affairs Manager, Esther Massundah is this year’s winner of the Exceptional Marketers Award.
The award is considered the most prestigious for marketers and public relations practitioners in Zimbabwe.
The award is in recognition of her outstanding public relations strategies implemented in the collection of blood during the Covid-19 period. The strategies were in line with the new normal where technology was also used to keep the blood stocks at normal levels.
She received the award at the 12th Marketers Convention held at Troutbeck Inn, Nyanga on Thursday last week.
Massundah is not new to the podium. In 2019 she was the first Runner; Outstanding PR Practitioner of the Year at the Exceptional Marketers Awards run by the Institute of Public Relations and Communications in Zimbabwe.
The award is a recognition of Massundah’s successful implementation of PR strategies in the blood collection drive at the height of the Covid-19 lockdown.
In an interview with The Mirror Massundah acknowledges her family, NBSZ family as well as media bodies in Zimbabwe for their support.
“I would certainly have not landed this prestigious prize without the support of the NBSZ family which is keen on PR and Marketing Programmes that seeks to profile the NBSZ Brand.
“I wish to extent special thanks to the Zimbabwe Union of Journalists, the National Association of Freelance Journalists and the media in generalfor disseminating information on the NBSZ brand thereby making it visible in all the 10 provinces,” Massundah said. http://masvingomirror.om
