Naked man found dead in Lalapanzi

MVUMA – Police are investigating a case of suspected murder where the body of a naked man was found dumped in a bush near the small mining centre of Lalapanzi.
Midlands Provincial Police Spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the incident and told The Mirror that the body was discovered by two juveniles Tafadzwa Munure and Gibson Mazana who were fetching firewood at Fort Farm.
Milton Sithole (30) of Vuta Village in Lalapanzi was found dumped in a gully with injuries and rope marks on the legs. The suspected murder occurred on Tuesday.
“It is suspected that he was mugged before being stripped of his clothes. The clothes were found a few metres away from the body. Identity cards were found in his pockets,” said Mahoko.
The body was taken to Mvuma District Hospital for postmortem.
