Mwenezi man jailed 3 years for unlawful entry and theft
MBERENGWA–Magistrate Mehluli Moyo has sentenced a Mwenezi man to 42 months in prison for six counts of unlawful entry and theft.
Sam Siziba (31) from Village 9 Rineti, Chief Neshuro in Mwenezi was facing three theft and three unlawful entry charges.
He broke into premises where he stole different wares on May 3, June 6 and June 7, 2023. The crimes were committed in Mberengwa.
Circumstances are that on the first date, Siziba went to Inzwirashe Gumbo’s shop at Simba Village, Chief Nyamhondo.
He broke into the shop and went away with groceries and an Itel cellphone. The value of stolen goods is US$240.
On June 6, 2023 at around 11 am he went to Chegute High School in Mberengwa, broke into the administration block and stole five wool hats and keys valued at US$80.
The next day, he broke into Nyarai Mavhiki’s shop and stole several clothes, a DSTV decoder and four Itel cellphones valued at US$850.
He was arrested the next day in the Vambare area. Some stolen wares were recovered.
