MASVINGO-Dorothy Mwanyisa has been appointed Supreme Court of Zimbabwe registrar, Judicial Service Commission secretary, Walter Chikwana told The Mirror.
Mwanyisa, before her elevation was the deputy registrar based at the High Court in Masvingo and she replaces Renika Dzikiti who has been moved to the administrative court.
“Mwanyisa is the most senior deputy registrar in the country hence we saw it fit to appoint her as the new Supreme Court registrar. She will be in overall charge of all registry work at the Supreme Court,” Chikwana told The Mirror.
She will be responsible for management of the registry, overseeing issuance, processing and setdown of matters, supervision of staff, client care and complaints.
Mwanyisa is from Masvingo and she went to Victoria Primary and Dadaya High School in Zvishavane before enrolling for her degree.
Mwanyisa graduated from the University of Zimbabwe with a law degree in 2008 and she joined JSC in 2010 as a magistrate and in 2015 she was appointed resident magistrate in Zaka.
In 2016 she was appointed deputy registrar and worked in Harare and Masvingo until her appointment as Supreme Court registrar and currently she is studying for an Msc in Gender and Policy Studies with Great Zimbabwe University.
