MUTARE – Minister of Women Affairs Monica Mutsvangwa is the guest of honor at the Manicaland Micro, Small to Medium Enterprises (SME) set for next Thursday at Meikles Park ground.
Manicaland Chamber of SMEs committee member Violet Banda confirmed the development in a telephone interview with Chipinge Times.
“We are inviting everyone to come, showcase and sell their products and services. The expo will have a day to display products before the official opening on August 8.
“Minister of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Senator Monica Mutsvangwa will be the guest of honour. Minister of State for Manicaland Advocate Misheck Mugadza will be the guest speaker,” she said.
The Expo will be under the theme: Building Bridges, Unlocking the potential of MSME and Zimbabwe Economy towards Vision 2030.
Some of the event sponsors include Mercy Corps, Manicaland Chamber of SMEs and the Ministry of Women Affairs.
Banda added that they are expecting exhibitors from the province’s seven districts.
“The main objective of the expo is to promote small businesses and to create a networking arena amongst companies and individuals offering services and products with clients.
“An estimate of 140 exhibitors are expected to participate at the expo where awards will also be given in various categories,” she added.
