Muresherwa elected Masvingo NASH chairperson

MASVINGO-Masvingo Christian High School headmaster Eddison Muresherwa is the new Masvingo Province National Association for Secondary School Heads (NASH) chairperson.
Muresherwa garnered 201 against Victoria High School head Engelbert Chimbwari’s 65 at elections held at Urban Lifestyle Hotel recently.
Muresherwa had been the interim chairperson after taking over from Chikwerengwe High head Ishmael Maundu who was promoted to the post of Education Inspector.
Muresherwa told The Mirror that he is ready to take Masvingo Province to another level in sports and academia.
“I am more eligible to lead the province to greater heights in both sport and academia. We will work together as NASH to make our province greater in terms of academia and sports,” he said.
NASH elections are held every two years and other posts that were voted for are vice chairperson, Treasurer, sports codes head in charge for chess, head in charge for darts, heads in charge for athletics, debate and public speaking, elite sports, music and handball.
Christopher Shiri of Hlezana High School in Mwenezi is the new vice chairperson. Rhoda Makhaza of Odzi High in Bikita amassed 198 votes against Alheit High Bernard Tagutanazvo who got 68 votes to be the new treasurer.
Timitia Chikomo of Buffalo Range Secondary in Chiredzi is the new head in charge of darts, Mucheke High head Vincent Maweni is now the head in charge of elite sports.
Abel Kadivirire of Ndahwi High in Gutu is the NASH secretary and is deputised by Thompson Charambira of Jichidza High school. Selenia Jinga of Mundondo High in Gutu was uncontested for the post of NASH head in charge for music.
