Mukaro High tops Catholic O level results

MASVINGO – Mukaro High has the best O Level results for all Catholic schools in Masvingo Province.
This is according to the November 2022, O Level Exam results availed to The Mirror.
Mukaro has 77 pupils who got 5As’ and the school also had an impressive 98.95% pass rate which increased by 4.75% from 94.2% in 2021. The school’s top student had 12As and 190 candidates sat for the exams.
Silveira High headed by Stanley Mutsambiwa came second with 61 candidates scoring 5As and above. The pass rate is 98.94 % which is 0.01 less than that of Mukaro High. Silveira had 189 candidates and the best student had 13As.
Gokomere High School headed by Acquinois Mazhunga came third with 46 candidates who scored 5As and above. The school had 240 candidates making sitting for the exams. The school’s pass rate stands at 85,4% and this was a drop of 4,1% from 89.5% in 2021. The school’s best student had 10As.
Zaka based St Anthony’s High School had 36 candidates with 5As and above with the best candidate having 9As, 5Bs and a C. The pass rate is 87.95% and it dropped by 5.52% from 93.47% in 2021. St Anthony’s is headed by J … Mawana.
Mutero High is fifth with seven candidates scoring 5As and above and a 60% pass rate, 150 candidates sat for the exams and the school’s best student had 6As and 3Bs.
Nyaningwe High is sixth with five candidates scoring 5As and above. The best student had 9As and 2Bs and 153 candidates sat for the exams. The school’s pass rate is 43.8% and this dropped from 50% in 2021.
Berejena High is seventh with four candidates scoring 5As and above. The pass rate is 60% and it decreased by 13.30% from 73.30% in 2021. Berejena had 171 candidates and the best student had 8As.
Gutu’s Soti Source High had one candidate who got 5As and above, 5As a B and C. the school had 38 candidates and a 10.5% pass rate which fell from 16% the previous year.
St Mary’s High best student had 4As 8Bs and 2Cs. It had one of the biggest enrollments with 195 candidates and a 24.60% pass rate which dropped from 27.12% in 2021.
Bondolfi’s best student had 4As and 5Bs and the pass rate is 34% marking a 7.4% increase from 26.6% in 2021. Bondolfi had 79 candidates.
