MP Nzenza joins villagers to build clinic in Sadza

SADZA – Villagers from Ward 25 in Sadza have embarked on a project to build a clinic in their area.
The clinic is strategically positioned close to Mudawarima Primary School and Redhill Business Centre and it will serve 8 000 households once completed.
The villagers are mobilising resources themselves and providing labour. The chairman of the project Ephraim Gonzo could not give The Mirror the total budget for the completion of the project but said each household had so far paid US$5 towards the construction of the clinic.
Chikomba East MP Dr Sekai Nzenza who is also Industry and Commerce Minister toured some of the projects in the area including the clinic and she bemoaned the long distances walked by villages to the nearest healthcare centre.
Dr Nzenza assured villagers that she would do her best to assist the villagers and she also donated cement.
“We have come to address the shortage of primary health care facilities in the area. The problem is particularly affecting expecting mothers, with some experiencing complications,” Dr Nzenza.
Dr Nzenza is also involved with other clinics in the area including in Mupatsi. The clinic will reduce the 20km that villagers are walking to the nearest clinics like Pokoteke and Gandachibvuva. Ward 25 Councillor Otilia Peta said villagers decided to construct the clinic in response to the shortage of health facilities in the area.
