MASVINGO – Twenty three-year-old Catherine Mashavira caught the eyes of the judges at the Miss Masvingo pageant held at Charles Austin Theatre on Saturday when she was crowned queen.
Mashavira with the stage name Melanin Black Queen was outstanding and easily landed the top prize.
The theme of the pageant was; illustrating the beauty of Zimbabwean Culture.
Hazel Mushore was crowned First Princess, Tinomudaishe Makumire Second Princess, Ashley Jera Miss Personality, and Kudzaishe Tanda Miss Personality as Hazel also qualifies for Best Campaigner.
The Mirror is told Catherine was once crowned First Princess at the miss entrepreneurship pageant in October, last year.
Catherine who last year graduated with Midlands State University with Thesis for Development Studies told The Mirror in an interview that she managed to bring out cultural aspect as she presented herself as an ideal traditional healer.
Miss Masvingo confessed to The Mirror how thankful she is to her fanatics, family and God above all.
“If not for God I wouldn’t have made it for the day. I would also want to thank my siblings of partners in designing as well as Provincial Director, Donovan Takaendisa,” she said.
