Chikomba – Two people were killed in an accident that happened at the 152 km peg along Harare-Masvingo Highway at around midnight on Monday.
They both passed on upon admission at Chivhu General Hospital.
Mash East Police Assistant Spokesperson Misheck Denhere confirmed the accident and warned drivers to observe speed limits.
Inspector Denhere named the victims as Abisha Nemangano (31) who was driving a Subaro Impreza and Itai Matsveru who was a passenger in the car.
At 0030hrs on August 5, 2024 Nemangano was driving a Subaru heading towards Masvingo from Harare and he lost control of the vehicle on approaching the 152 km peg. He veered off the road and the car overturned several times.
The two were ferried to Chivhu General Hospital by Police officers.
