Mazorodze scoops Gold at Megafest awards

MASVINGO-Tariro Mazorodze who runs upmarket Urban Lifestyles Guest House in the leafy suburb of Rhodene has scooped Gold at the Masvingo Megafest Business Awards.
The third Megafest Masvingo business awards were held at Great Zimbabwe Hotel in Masvingo Rural recently where Benjamin Mazarire was the guest of honour.
Mazorodze won Gold in the Woman Businesswoman of the Year Category for her astute management of Urban Lifestyles Guest House which has become the place of choice for those who want class and peace of mind.
She was also credited for maintaining high standards at the 12 independent en-suite bedroomed facility which has seen companies and non-governmental organisations scrambling to hold their training and functions there.
“Mazorodze does not compromise on quality and the standards at the Guest House are unmatched hence adjudicators had no problems in conferring her the Gold winner in the Businesswoman of the Year Category which had many strong contenders,” read part of the citation from the team of adjudicators.
Urban Lifestyles Guest House which was established in 2018 is also user friendly to people with disabilities as the first floor can be easily accessed with a wheelchair.
The facility which sits on 2 400square metres of land offers laundry services, WiFi, fully subscribed televisions, electric blankets, a communal and private lounge, a dining room, meeting and conference facilities allowing up to 50 seated delegates, swimming pool and a relaxing garden.
All these are decorated in an exquisite and elegant facade and provide a conducive environment for guests to take a break from their busy schedules and a place where they can find comfort, luxury and peace. Provisions are also underway to add a gym and sauna with attendant change-room and bathroom facilities, mini-mart, vending machines and a local shuttle service that will be available for resident guests.
The place is regularly fumigated in line with the World Health Organisation (WHO) Covid-19 guidelines. There are sanitisers in all the rooms and at the entrance and and all the staff have been trained on how to handle guests in line with WHO guidelines.
The Platinum award went to Zvishavane based Sylvia Choruwa of Isheanopa Investments while Silver went to Natasha Grief of Happy Kids.
