Mavhenyengwa is the new Zanu PF Masvingo Province vice chair


MASVINGO-Zaka North MP Robson Mavhenyengwa has been elected Zanu PF Masvingo Province vice chairman replacing Ailes Baloyi who resigned from the post after being appointed Chiredzi RDC chief executive officer in September this year.

Mavhenyengwa was elected today during the provincial executive committee (PEC) meeting held at GZU School of Education where Rtd Commissioner Addmore Veterai was also nominated but did not get a seconder.

“Mavhenyengwa is the new vice chairman after being elected by the PEC, the elevation will be ratified by the Provincial Coordinating Committee during its next meeting. He replaces Baloyi who has since joined Chiredzi RDC,” said the provincial spokesman, Ronald Ndava.

Ndava told The Mirror that the PEC also coopted Chiredzi West MP, Farai Musikavanhu as the new secretary for finance filling up the position that was held by Mavhenyengwa after receiving overwhelming approval from the delegates.
